One guy I keep hear being linked with the Patriots is Texas OLB Sergio Kindle. NFL.com’s draft guru Mike Mayock rates him as the best OLB in the draft, and Ourlads said he was the raw talent to be an All-Pro. Pass rush is an obvious need for the Patriots, and Kindle is projected to go in the mid first round, and may be available when the Pats pick at #22.
Kindle has had some off-the-field issues, but not recently. I like the way he gets off his block and he has a natural ability to get to the QB. Played opposite Brian Orakpo before he was drafted by the Redskins, and I was impressed to see that Kindle kept up his production once Orakpo moved up to the NFL. I would have no complaints if the Patriots took him at 22. None at all.
